Some Sand and a Food Truck

We made a drive down to Anaheim for an Underwoods to Underwoods visit.
At first I groaned at the thought of 80 degree weather.
Call me crazy. I just want my winter.
But all the wonderful activities we did just couldn't have happened without that Southern California sunshine...

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the backyard.

We put our toes in the ocean and the sand!
This was Graham's second time to the beach.
But I feel like now that he actually reacts a little bit, it's like a second "first time".
I at least get excited all over again. That's for sure.

Thanks Aunt Caitlynn for my hat. It blocked the sun perfectly.
Love, Fievel

THEN. Then, then, then we played a gamble game on dinner!
It went something like this:
1. Everyone write the place you want to go on a piece of paper.
2. Drop it in a cup.
3. Take them out one by one.
4. The last place in the cup wins.
(...and I won. Believe it.)
And it was AWESOME.

We went on a food truck race.
Actually we didn't have to race because
Erin just googled "Food trucks"
and it told us where Kogi beef would be.
And really we just tracked it down. But "race" sounds super fun.

Delishhhhhh.
A good time was had by all.
And we wrapped up the evening with Boba and a trip to the Asian market.
Because why not?
Graham had many "firsts" this weekend. And he was just as precious as can be.
And then he conked out. Asian Persuasion was just too much fun.
Until next time, Gamble Cup Dinner, until next time...

Merry and Bright (and tardy) Moments

The Christmas festivities came.
They were the most fun. Jam packed fun.
The December days flew by. As per usual.
Loved every second of it.

At Vaughn family Christmas,
Graham was added to Mom and Dad's stocking. So stinking precious.

1208 Christmas morning! Graham was about to join the traditions and memories that my mom and dad had built for us the last 27 years... I still get giddy at the thought of sharing them with Kyle and now my joy is multiplied times 2! Can you imagine as the family grows? Boy o boy.

PS At Pearsey Family Christmas, we all got Pearsey Family sweatshirts! Believe it. Even Grahamy. I should post those snapshots. Priceless.

He put on the hat. He's the Santa.

Graham l.o.v.e.d. his new friend Elmo. The eyes fit perfectly in his mouth...

Precious Aunt and Uncle time...By the fire of course.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus-ey.

These pictures just kill me. I should probably just save them for like a "I adore my sister especially watching her love my son" post. But I couldn't hold back. Stunning, I tell you.

Underwood Christmas was spent on Roehampton this year!
Graham's first Christmas morning was just lovely.
Fireside with Aunt Erin.

Opening stockings that Santa left with Grandma and Grandpa!

Some serious lounge time with Grandpa...

So much to see!

Now that I'm looking back on these, I feel like I left out a million. How am I supposed to choose? Ugh. I'll have to pop in with another Christmas post. Maybe in July? Probably.

The point is, Christmas was wonderful. We were surrounded by so much family and balanced it out with intimate moments with our little family of three.
It made me really excited for alllll the Christmases to come. I long to teach and demonstrate to our kiddos the true meaning and true joy of Christmas.

Tiny, yet gigantic, breakthrough...

G-unit is almost 5 months old.
It went something like this:

Mom: MEGHAN PEARSEY!
(Not my name anymore, mind you)
YOUR SON HAS A TOOTH!

Me: WHAT?!
(Kyle and I bolted for G's room in a frenzy)

And there it was. A tiny sliver of white breaking through Graham's bottom gums.
Oh my my my...Already? It was the first time a new stage had given me a little heart ache.
I feel like teeth are a BIG deal. Moving on from "baby baby" to just "baby...
...and little boy seems right around the corner...
Oh Grahamy...You and those teeth excite and melt my heart all at once.
Bring on the teething, little buddy.

It's beginning...

To look a lot like Christmas!!

We made the trek to the fancy tree lot of Lowes...It hasn't let us down yet.

We were so excited for Graham's first Christmas tree hunt.

He was a huge help.

Daddy Claus wanted to go big big big for G's first tree...
Buuuuut because Graham was bored out of his mind, we opted for the mid-size.

2011 Trim the tree night:  Chinese food, champagne, a fire, and a family of three...

 Kyle's ornament this year.

Graham's first Christmas ornament...My, how things have changed.

We picked a winner.
