Hello Bennett.

IMG_5318
Happy 3 months, Bennett Scott.
I promise you are the happiest baby alive. You smile at anyone who looks at you.
There's no trick to it. You just smile, smile, smile. Even from across the room.
Every time I catch you smiling at me I can't help but giggle.
Did I say that last month?  But seriously, it's just contagious.
And you are chat-ty. You love to just hang out, smile, and talk.
What a sweet, big, bundle of wonderful babyness you are.

Your hair is not going anywhere. And neither are those dimples. What a handsome guy.

You started sleeping through the night in month three.
At 10 weeks you just hit the snooze button and never looked back.
You are an early riser but you don't mind hanging out in your swing until breakfast.

And once the sleeping clicked, we moved you to your big boy room with your big brother!
You and Graham share a room now. So far, so good. Sometimes I have to come in and whisk you away in the morning so we can let G sleep... But our boys are together. And the fun has just begun.

We gave you Zeebs the Zebra. Your very own jellycat stuffed animal to love on.
And boy do you love that Zeebs, Bennett. You love love love him. And your taggy.
You are starting to look and bat at your "friends".

You were dedicated to the Lord on Mother's Day and the whole family came to support and lift you up in prayer. (Aunt Erin loves and prays for you in Berlin, too!)

We are so in love with you and can already see your little
 God-given personality start to develop.
You are a snuggler. You are a smiler. You are pure joy.

30 again and a trip to Grandpa's.

Uncle Zach turned the big 3-0. (again?) Then it's no big deal, right?
Well, we had a birthday extravaganza anyway...
We all headed up to Grandpa's to do Zach's favorite things.
 Eat. Drink. Play. Hang. Repeat.

Bennett and the birthday boy.
This was B's first trip up to Grandpa's. 2 months!
Let the record show that Bennett slept through the night for the first time on this trip.
In a trailer. And there was no turning back...
Praise the good, good Lord.

I wasn't great at picture taking. So this picture makes the cut
because it's the only proof I have of the girls being a part of the festivities.
In the kitchen. Where we belong? Oh goodness.
IMG_5202
Over the line. Obvi.

It doesn't get much cuter, or more memorable, then a tractor ride
with Great Grandpa on a gorgeous, massive orange tractor!!

Kyle and I both agreed that this was probably our high of the weekend.
Tied with Bennett's sleeping through the night.
Hands on the wheel. Serious fun. Seriously, serious.

We've decided that we know when Graham's little boy dreams are coming true.
It's when he is so excited to show you something and then as soon as it is reality,
he is dead pan. Is that the phrase?
Thrilled to be on this quad ride with Dad.
But you would have no idea looking at that straight, precious, dirty face.

Littlest on the other hand...
Relax, Bennet...Sheesh.

Happy 30th birthday, Uncle Zach...
We had a blasty blast.
Thanks Grandpa for letting us come up and run amuck.
We treasure our trips up to your adventure land.

Hello Bennett

IMG_5144IMG_5148IMG_5150IMG_5147IMG_5162
I better get this milestone recorded before three months is here next week.

Oh sweet, sweet two month boy. These pictures are lame compared to how handsome, calm, and easy going you are. I just can't seem to capture it...and setting you on a table right at hungry time probably didn't help things.

Bennett Scott, you are one super baby. You are so content. You don't mind being changed, dressed, or bathed! You love it in fact! You smile and coo at us like you're trying to convince us not to stop. And really I would love to just sit and talk to you all day. And smile right back at your half-moon eyes, scrunched up nose, and single dimple.

You love being outside. So much to look at. And you love watching your brother.
Your eyes follow him. Bless.my.soul.
You do not love being in your car seat. So it's not all smiles, all the time.
Load the car time can be a little tricky.

You're waking up once a night, which is a-ok with me. You still have gas but nothing some gas drops can't handle. At two months we moved your pack and play into the playroom. It was so nice having you right next to me but it was time for you to gain some independence... You are sleeping much better in there and so are we.

You are a big guy. You are totally done with 0-3 clothes and onto 3 months clothes! You weigh 14 lbs 6 oz and are 25 inches long. Your hair is going nowhere and everywhere at the same time and is darling as ever... But that smile, oh my goodness. It stops me in my tracks and I just think, really God? This handsome, full-of-joy boy is ours? Sheesh. I just can't even believe the blessing you are to this family already... And I just shake my head and laugh. In awe of the effect you already have on us. You are just so incredible.
