Whoever invented Labor Day was a genius.
I tried my best to be very aware that I was
lucky to have an extra day tacked on to this weekend.
What a wonderful weekend to stick around.
Saturday morning meant a waffle breakfast outside.
It was also on this day, September 1, 2012 that
Kyle had "the idea of the century".
Extension cord the waffle maker to the patio table so we can cook.serve.eat without ever leaving the table.
Idea of the century, folks.
Graham was just happy to have warm waffles.
(And a taste a bacon. Yummmmm)
Kyle taught Graham how to practice catching
ground balls by himself one day.
I love having boys.
Grahamer can one-hand it and walk.
When we let him go however, he just plops.
In Graham time. He'll get it.
Projects, projects, projects.
I'm really amazed by my husband and
LOVE that he just goes after things.
Things like built in cabinets.
I cannot wait. It's looking so great.
Piece by piece.
We play a lot of basketball around here, now. Graham gives extra "b" sounds when he's talking about his basketball. He gets it. And we're starting to get his little language.
Saturday night Pinterest adventure!
Kyle and I, separately, discovered ready to go freezer breakfasts on Pinterest that we wanted to try out.
So that was our fun activity for the evening.
Kyle's are breakfast burritos and mine are breakfast sandwiches...Fingers crossed.
We did realize that this was a little strange of us.
But it could be another idea of the century!
Playing in church clothes quickly became
"no-pants-for-the-boys" day.
Kyle took Graham up to change out of his church clothes
and they both came down minus pants.
Kyle declared it a "no-pants" afternoon.
So that was that.
I think Graham knew that Monday morning was extra special.
He wanted to sip milk in my lap longer then usual.
I did not complain.
He knows how to bring sweet joy to his mommy's heart.
Shelbey and Eric invited us over for a swim and BBQ.
What's labor day without swimming and BBQ?
Champion of the pool.
Champion of the BBQ sauce.
He gets it.
Happy Labor, Day.
