Oh man. We were looking forward to this trip all month! Of course it wasn't to escape the heat. As we headed out, Bennett asked if it was going to be cold at the desert. Kyle and I just laughed in his face. We were leaving 100 degrees for 110...
Look at these thrilled caravaners! We made a quick stop at In-n-out. Dad ran in while Graham wrote his ABCs and Bennett asked to hold Nolan. Did I mention thrilled yet? PS At this time in life Bink, much to his dad's dismay, does not enjoy anything except french fries from In-n-out.
Mom did so so great picking our room. Waterfall view, ducks for days, golfers, and lots of grass for races.
Nolan's first time in the pool! Well, except the week prior when we jumped in to save Bennett. Not fun. But THIS, this was fun. He lasted about 8 minutes. And may have swallowed some water but the jury's still out.
These boys love their Aunt Cait....and look at this kid. He's just a riot.
Harper and Owen's first time swimming, too! They did so great.
Then they got photo bombed by a flying child. And probably splashed too.
Nature day.
Sprinklers when it's over 100 bring giddiness.
Note to self: Make anything a race and your boys will jump right in.
Lazy desert mornings while the men golfed. Well, I should speak for myself. This was the morning that Gwamma and the boys did "big" races. Nolan and I = lazy.
Honestly, this boy's bath time was neglected because the big brother's were swimming everyday.
When we finally made the time, well, his face says it all.
Our little family went to the other hotel to play "18" holes of mini-golf and catch a boat ride.
It was sweltering. We may have secretly skipped some holes and cheered for the water hazards.
But the boat ride, sigh, lovely. Breezy and shaded. And our boys loved every second.
Can you say "margaritas and manicures"?
Hilarious and delicious. Thanks Marriott activity gals.
Vacation is great. Vacation with sweet be-be cousins is amazing.
There's just something about the slow paced day and no agenda that makes you really soak up vacation and make precious memories.
Thanks Mom and Dad. We love sweaty, low-key vacations with you. Thank you for your selflessness, generosity, and for loving all of our boys so well.
Oh and this? Graham's new silly face. So, look forward to more of these.
