Easter Tradish.

IMG_9529
I'm well aware that today is October 1st. But I just discovered all these prrrrrecious Easter tradition pictures and so what. I'm locking these in. Ready set go.
IMG_9543
Dying Easter eggs. I think 3 of them survived?
IMG_9548IMG_9552
Remember when we propped Bennett up for this picture and then he immediately fell on his head?
Welp, we got the shot right?
IMG_9579IMG_9584IMG_9585
Aunt Cait let us take over her kitchen with all of the memory making. Next on the list, decorating sugar cookies.
IMG_9590IMG_9596
Aaaaaand then B knocked the entire container of sprinkle balls over and they cascaded off all sides of the table and bounced 10 feet in every direction. Oy vey.
IMG_9616
We found our baskets...
IMG_9568
and enjoyed them throughly.
IMG_9575
First Peeps for the peeps.
IMG_9559
Our best shot at a "front porch picture with our baskets" tradition.

You see. I couldn't let these go and slip into the "hope I remember what folder these are in" void. Too stink in' cute. And so much, so much fun.

Walking into Florida hotel room, arms spread wide: "Welcome to this room!"

"I DO. I DO yike that."
"Sure I do." "I sure do." "You sure do."
"I can't yike that."
"After dinner yet's go on a bike ride and do yoga!"
IMG_1369

IMG_1372
G: "Something's hurting on my toe"
Mommy: "I'll kiss it"
G: "No, you have to use your tongue kiss to make it feel better!"
Mommy: "Not a chance."
Both of us busting up laughing.
IMG_1343
"I'm 16. So I can drive."
"Um, not really this time."
"We are all tired together!"
"Mama! Is it summer yet?? Oh, I thought it was."
"Would you like to share a blanket with me?"
"I. want. to. pee. on a. cactus."

You are joy. A smartie pants with an incredible memory.
You play pretend baseball wherever we go.
You want to be like your daddy and I pray the same.
You don't like loud noises and you get frustrated when you get hurt.
You are very concerned for your brother but don't really know how to show it except cry when you think we are leaving him or if he's breaking a rule.
You love to tackle him and crash. We're working on it.
You teach Bennett songs and words. Right now "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", "No!", and "Mine!". And then you guys crack up.
You always ask to walk people out to the car and you shout "I yov you, too!" when they leave. Melting.

I can't even imagine what 3 will bring. I'm loving every moment. Even the tough ones. Because it's all part of the spirited kid you are now
and the passionate boy the Lord is shaping you to be.
Happy Birthday, Graham Thomas.
We you you.

Da-jaas.

image
It's safe to say we bleed blue around here. Bennett could say "Da-jaas" at 14 months old and Graham has half of the roster memorized. Graham pretends to be "Kershawt" or "Kick Gerbson" every single day of his life and Bennett thinks "Da-jaas" and "Melmo" are the only thing our TV plays.
image
So I'm going back to June 13th of this summer to a Pearsey/Bell/Underwood gathering in Los Angeles. Yes it was ages ago...but the joy still feels very fresh.
imageKershawt.
Please note that all the other kids jump around on those mushroom thingys and our two year old does a full wind up and pretends to pitch and run the bases... Quirky McQurikyson. And we love it.
imageimage
The game barely made the time limit for fireworks but it happened! Two very excited boys stayed up until 12 and were still smiling.
Happy 5 my love.
FIVE YEARS. Best.
image
We love "Uncle Zach and Aunt Zach."
Boys, your daddy jumps at the chance to change a diaper on the field of Dodger stadium. Cheeeeck. So yeah, he's pretty great.
Proud dad moment. He jumped at the chance.
image
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication Jaff and Zeebs. I'm certain we couldn't have done it without you. Glad you could check the field off of your bucket lists.

Springing up to Hume.

IMG_9456
"Hume Yake!"
IMG_9484
Surprise face for camping with Daddy!
IMG_9465IMG_9469
These two found a camping spot and had their own special night together.
They pitched a tent, talked about God, peed on trees, and heard a bear.
Well, Kyle told Graham it was a bear and Graham, after a few thoughtful seconds, came back with "No Dad, I think those are just birds."
IMG_9488
Melts me like a marshmallow.
IMG_9498
In case we ever forget how much these two love to be read to... Or how many times we read "the train one, the dump truck one, and the cake one."...Or how Graham likes warm milk please.
IMG_9508
Success!!! Say "Fiiiiish"!

Thanks mom and dad for a lovely few Spring days at the cabin.
It was just what we needed.

Potty Training. Check!

Welp, we read some articles, talked to some peeps, and knew you were smarter then the average bear. So we picked a string of days that we could camp out at home, bought treats and juice, prayed for patience, and mom left for work.
No, but seriously, your dad is amazing. More then amazing.
IMG_9713
The day began with a boy trip to Target for a super duper Cars toilet
and some Planes underwear!
Let it be known that we have never seen Planes so we have been faking knowing the characters for a couple weeks now. Thank you Disney for printing the names on every pair.
IMG_9710
Sure there were accidents. But I think only two the first day!
And you woke up dry! Every time.
We would make a huge deal and celebrate every time and you would say
"I'm so proud of you, mom!" Adorable. Sweetest heart.
IMG_9717
This view kills me. Such a big boy.

Peace out, Diaper Town.
image
Oh and PS, after 3 days of underwear we road tripped to Arizona and Graham rocked it with no diapers. Especially with numero dos. No turning back.
Quote of the week: "I WANT. to PEE. on a CACTUS."

No turning back.
Alright Bennett, you're next.

Disney Extravaganza.

Thank you, blogger moms...For wanting to blog your way through Disneyland.
Thank you, Kirsten, for shmoozing them so dang well and inviting us to join!!
IMG_9271
I asked Graham where he wanted to drive his car...he said Knott's Berry Farm. Bah.
IMG_9302
Hello, Bennett Boy.
Sorry Dad dropped you on your head at the happiest place on earth.
Good thing you're the toughest cookie.
IMG_9321
Comparing characters. Dad didn't love that you wore your characters.
But I gave him a head nod after this interaction.

Surprise face! Graham rode his first roller coaster!!
He pretty much hated it while it was going. He said "no, no, no...I want to get up."
I got in trouble for not "comforting" him enough.
For the record, he was right next to me snuggled in.
And also for the record, Graham still talks about Gadget's coaster.
And gives us a play by play of all 23 seconds.

Only Casey Jr. brings this grin.

Day one: Tuckered.

And then Graaaandma took over!!
Thanks Grandma! We had a grand ol time with Zach and Kirsten...

Day 2! That's it. That's all we got.
Goof Troop.

What?! Look at our family! It doubled!
IMG_9450
No big deal, but it's an honor.
