So this is love...

Happy Valentine's Day!

To my love
Thank you for capturing my heart.
Each day you amaze me.
Each day you are my best friend.
Each day I see the Lord through how you love your son and me.
Each day I fall harder for you.
Today, we'll write it on paper. Forever I will show you.

 To my little love:
I didn't know I could love a little boy so much, so quickly.
I fall more in love with you at every new stage.
You bring so much joy to my heart.
Happy first Valentine's Day, Graham Thomas.
(Let the pink milk tradition begin!)

You boys have my heart. Forever.

Weekend Happenings

Oh, you gorgeous weekend, you.
A light breeze, clean air, mountain view all around...Yum.
What a perfect weekend to just be home on Roehampton.

Friday we walked to the park.

Kyle showed G-unit how to hold a baseball.

This kid makes the best facial expressions...Spreading joy.

Graham was sneaky and snapped this shot. He's so advanced.

BIG NEWS!
This GTU had rice cereal for the first time!!

Kyle and I made ebelskivers for our Saturday porch breakfast.
Caitlynn and Zach gave us a Danish pancake pan for Christmas and so we made our first batch!
It was definitely a group project. DELICIOUS.

Want to know why I'm in love with my husband? (One of a bajillion reasons)
He put on Pandora as we sat down to eat and I quickly realized I didn't recognize the music.

Me: What IS this?
K: Traditional Danish Hymns to go with our Danish pancakes.

Again, one of the bajillion reasons...
(check out G's sweet Danish moves...)

Saturday, the Swens came for an afternoon hang out and dinner.
Graham loves his Uncle Jayson. He's loved that beard since he was a wee lad.

Excited for another park date??

 The entertainers...Captured crazy.

It's love. So thankful for our family weekends...
(look closely...more captured crazy.)
Oh and PS. It was super bowl weekend! You wouldn't know it by looking.
But what can you do when your son refuses to nap on his own during the game?
He was NOT a happy camper. Rumor has it he knew there was a party going on...
He does seem to be quite a people person... Time will tell, huh?

Tiny, yet gigantic, breakthrough...

G-unit is almost 5 months old.
It went something like this:

Mom: MEGHAN PEARSEY!
(Not my name anymore, mind you)
YOUR SON HAS A TOOTH!

Me: WHAT?!
(Kyle and I bolted for G's room in a frenzy)

And there it was. A tiny sliver of white breaking through Graham's bottom gums.
Oh my my my...Already? It was the first time a new stage had given me a little heart ache.
I feel like teeth are a BIG deal. Moving on from "baby baby" to just "baby...
...and little boy seems right around the corner...
Oh Grahamy...You and those teeth excite and melt my heart all at once.
Bring on the teething, little buddy.
