Hello Spring Training...

Tradition. I've said it before. I'll say it again.
I treasure traditions. Thrive from them.

I'm so thrilled that going to see the boys in blue during spring training has sprung into a tradition.
(forgive me. I couldn't help it)

Family. Driving. Dining. BASEBALL.
It was a fabulous weekend...

I got to take a day off of work...
Shhhh...Technically for family necessity.
Obviously that is true.
We drove all night so we could make it to the day game on Friday.
Obviously we were happy about that decision.

These two boys are very, very happy in this moment.
Dad especially...

Saturday was St. Patrick's Day!
Graham and I participated.
We are all about holidays.
 And definitely didn't get pinched.
Lunch from the back of the 4-runner. Yep.

Erin, Jill, and Kyle "made it rain" on G-Unit...
We're pretty sure he kept 20 bucks...
Someone came up short...

Saturday night meant BBQ, free drinks, and pool time.
St. Patrick's day at Embassy Suites. Done.

And we celebrated Peggy's birthday!
Happy Birthday, Grandma!

When Sunday arrived, it was time to pack up and check out.
Grahammy was a peach.

There was one more game to get to...Angels vs. Dodgers.
It started out gorgeous...Picturesque.

Then the storm made it's way to Camelback Ranch...
(..and the thunder rolls...the thunder rolls. dun dun dun...)

We all agreed it was time to hit the road.
Who's this peanut head?

It's Grandpa! Quick thinking Grandpa...

Long story short:
The game got rained out and a million cars all tried
to get out at once.
Chaos. But you can't tell by our smiles...

G-Unit got to get out of his carseat! Shhhhh....

Lawbreaking = big smiles from GTU

But, driving is serious business.

The drive home was gorgeous...
besides the fact that we were in two hours of
dumb-bumper to bumper-traffic...

The slow going provided some unusual freeway activities...
We'll just leave it at this: diapers are meant for babies...

Adios Springtraining.
We'll see you next year.
Let's go Dodgers.
